Opening Doors, Our Theme For Francisco Study Center In 2011
Message:
I am pleased to present Opening Doors, our theme for Francisco Study Center in 2011. Our accomplishments in 2009-2010 are examples of the doors Francisco Study Center open every day – creating opportunities for the poor and the homeless to livelihood projects and access to health care and education. For the thousands of individuals we serve since 2009, the Francisco Study Center is opening doors to benefit the homeless individuals for 2011.
The Study Center has been evolving as a community service provider since it opened in April of 2009 in Pasay City.It now included a program to become involve in newspaper publishing to benefit homeless or poor individuals. The Study Center can help fight poverty and create employment for homeless people. Vendors can buy copies of the newspaper at a price of 50% off the cover price, keeping the proceeds.
I value your trust in Francisco Study Center and invite you to serve as a volunteer and deliver happiness to people others may looked down on, because we’re not so different after all.
Thank you.
Sincerely yours,
Rafael Butch Francisco

Dear Mr Butch Francisco,
I have read the entries regarding the Study Center. I am very impressed. I am now staying abroad but I am from Puerto Princesa City, Palawan but my clan Ramirez-Ortega are from Bulacan from the Gregorio Ramirez family tree.
Is it possible to duplicate your project in Puerto Princesa to help my city/provincial folks? I am willing to be an understudy as I am very much a Pasay adopted daughter as both me and my sister lived in Pasay City during our College days. I need your assistance to do the start up.
My own contribution would be the piece of land where we could build this Study Center.I do not have the cash but in real property, I could lend the space. It would be difficult but I know it can be done.Raising funds will be the first hurdle.
I am not in politics but for retirement (turning 53 soon), I am preparing to do something more for the good of my province. My cousin Doc Gerry was recently killed because of his vocal conviction against corruption in government, against mining companies entering and destroying the natural forest reserves of Palawan and the misuse of the Malampaya Sound funds share of Palawan by the provincial government. He was a fierce believer of love of country, vocal and burning in making change. It seems someone out there didn’t like it and silenced him the same way another journalist was silenced 6 years ago. We miss him so much. You should come to Palawan to see his successful projects in Eco- Tourism under the ABS-CBN Bayan ni Juan projects.
We are one with him and his fight so we have to continue by doing our share in community building. I have good ground support from batchmates/classmates who are in Puerto Princesa. All I need is to let them know what needs to be done.
Our family’s history in Palawan is long. But for myself, I would rather start something tested and would like to request your prestigious organization to please consider us like your sister community.
If you are amenable, I could visit your office in July to meet up with you. I am coming from Panama (I am a housewife) but we are based in Singapore. Thank you for your time.
